Virgin Timesheets

This application captures millions of employee hours worked, by thousands of employees, and has paid out hundreds of millions of pounds to date.

This application captures weekly Timesheet data for thousands of employees across the Virgin estate.

Weekly Timesheet data is then consolidated into Monthly Timesheets, for signoff by authorised managers and direct submission into the payroll system for payment.

The application recognises and deals with a complex and variable array of contract types, hourly rates, and payment methods.

It also encapsulates logic that determines Holiday Pay rates and Sick and Holiday Pay entitlements.

The application features automated reconciliation and integrity checks.

The application also features a range of comprehensive management reports.

Virgin Expenses Management

This application is used to capture and pay Expense claims by all employees within the Virgin Active estate.

Expenses claims are entered by users, and follow a path of authorisation, approval and automatic payment by BACS.

The application produces high quality printed Expense forms in PDF form.

Automated emails are generated automatically to claimants when the status of their claim is altered, or when their claim amount is altered.

Mileage claim amounts are automatically calculated using a range of vehicle types, and are variable dependent on the number of passengers.

The application features a range of categories and sub categories that are assigned to individual General Ledger accounts.

Virgin Membership Reporting

The Protonomy application developed to handle Membership reporting replaced an existing data warehouse project that was scrapped after hundreds of thousands of pounds of expenditure.

This system extracts data from the actual Membership system on a nightly basis for reporting purposes. The system accurately reflects the varying levels of metrics that are used by management to manage and track sales, terminations, and a wide variety of other information relating to membership status.

The system features:

- Automated reconciliation on a daily basis

- Web based reporting, at summary level and with detail drilldown capability built in.

- Automated reporting that creates and emails a large number of Excel reports on a nightly basis.

Oxford University Press

Protonomy was used to develop an online, interactive version of the English for the Pharmaceutical Industry title in the Express English Learning series, for Oxford University Press

There are hundreds of questions for the learner to answer online, in varying formats.

The system features automatic marking of questions, audio transcripts, and comprehensive marking and usage reports.

The site consists of several hundred interactive "pages", that are actually one standard Protonomy page that is constantly being regenerated at runtime.
